Infra pricing guide

Prices are quoted as value first. BIGHT is the meter at quote time.

Infra is priced around useful memory: retained objects, retrievable data, receipts, and proof work. The public guide below uses the current prototype anchors and keeps retail storage separate from service windows, security opt-in, and evidence disputes.

$0.005 Current target value of one Storage Liter.
0.5 BIGHT One Storage Liter at the current $0.01 BIGHT target.
$0.06-$0.10/GB Anonymous one-time intake target for roughly one year of retention.
$0.005-$0.01/GB Plain retrieval target before optional receipt regeneration or challenge work.

Storage Contracts

Contract storage uses Storage Liters: Liters = class rate x GB x months. The class rate carries the retention, repair, and query burden; repair is not a surprise second bill layered on top of the storage class.

Class Liters / GB / month Target value At $0.01 BIGHT Use
Class C
Cold retention
1 $0.005 / GB-month 0.5 BIGHT / GB-month Archive posture, low query pressure, long-memory storage.
Class B
Standard / public rented
3 $0.015 / GB-month 1.5 BIGHT / GB-month Normal retained objects and public rented storage surfaces.
Class A
Hot performance
20 $0.10 / GB-month 10 BIGHT / GB-month Hot query posture with a heavier replica, repair, and availability burden.

ubight_due = ceil(value_micros x 1000000 / bight_price_micros)

Anonymous Intake

Anonymous intake is a mask on the upload service, not a storage contract tier picker. When the anonymous box is checked, Infra treats the object as redacted public-rented intake at the protocol boundary. Metadata is not the product; the fact that the object was admitted and retained is the product.

One-time intake

Target range is about $0.06-$0.10 per GB for roughly one year of retained, proof-bearing intake.

Redacted boundary

The public surface records admission and receipt state. User identity is not required for the anonymous path.

Later use costs work

Fresh receipts, proof regeneration, disputes, or extended retention are separate work surfaces.

Reads, Receipts, And Challenges

Normal retrieval should stay closer to commodity egress. Evidence-grade work is different: regenerating receipts, answering a challenge, or moving through review lanes uses the service and security surfaces instead of hiding that cost inside every ordinary download.

Surface Target Boundary
Plain retrieval $0.005-$0.01 / GB Download or query without asking Infra to re-run evidence work.
Receipt regeneration Work-priced Charged when a user asks Infra to produce fresh proof after the original receipt.
Challenge lane Security-priced Charged as adversarial review, not as normal storage or bandwidth.

Security Opt-In

Security opt-in is not the same product as retail storage. It pays for active monitoring, signal review, and higher-consequence evidence lanes for chains or systems that want Infra watching their state.

Tier Retainer Packet Use
Basic 104 BIGHT / day 4 BIGHT Observation and low-pressure signal work.
Standard 208 BIGHT / day 8 BIGHT Normal cross-chain watch and review posture.
Premium 416 BIGHT / day 16 BIGHT Runtime-covered service floor for heavier chain obligations.

Quote boundary: these are prototype anchors for public understanding. Live quotes should read the current BIGHT value, the selected work surface, and any active repair-risk controller before producing the payable amount.
